Major Ravi, a former Indian Army officer, who would be directing Mohanlal for his next venture Keerthichakra says, 'The movie is based on a real-life incident.'
The film begins with an Army widow and ends with her, says Ravi. Plans to shoot some portions of the film at Kargil War Memorial is there, he adds.
Since I thought Mohanlal was the apt choice for the title role, I urged him and he was kind enough to accept the same.
Being churned out simultaneously in Tamil, Keerthichakra has Mamta Mohandas opposite Mohanlal while Gopika is also in the cast.
