These days, actress Alia Bhatt is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' which is one of the most anticipated projects of 2022. The actress is also raking praises for her performance in the recently released trailer of the film but the situation is quite opposite for people related to actual Gangubai. The family members of Gangubai are not happy that she is being shown as a prostitute despite being a social activist.

Gangubai's adopted son Babu Raoji Shah told a news outlet, "My mother has been turned into a prostitute. People are now saying inexplicable things about my mother." Their family lawyer said, "The way Gangubai was portrayed is completely wrong and baseless. It is vulgar. You are representing a social activist as a prostitute. Which family would like it? You have made her [Gangubai] a vamp and lady don."

Ever since the trailer release, Gangubai's family has come under the scrutiny of their neighbours and society. Their lawyer claimed, "They have been asking the family if Gangubai was really a prostitute and not a social worker as they had said. The family’s mental state is not good. No one is able to live in peace."
