DMK’s working president M.K. Stalin has said that he was ready to undergo any kind of punishment/prison term in the raging issue regarding setting up the Cauvery Management Board (CMB).
Stalin spoke to newsmen at Chennai prior to leaving for Trichy from where he kicked off his 2-weeks long walkathon from Trichy to Cuddalore. “We would be walking down the distance from Trichy to Chennai in two groups; we would hold a huge meeting in Cuddalore before meeting and submitting a memorandum to Governor Purohit on the issue,” Stalin explained.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi doesn’t seem to be ready to meet anyone (from Tamil Nadu) on the CMB issue and that was why we decided to stage a black flag protest demonstration against him next Sunday (15th April),” he said.
“I’m ready to face any case or action against me in the Cauvery issue and would whole-heartedly undergo any kind of punishment meted out to me in this regard,” Stalin assured much to the cheers of those surrounding him.
