West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been accused of not participating in a conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the handling of Cyclone Yaas. From Amit Shah to Smriti Irani and a few other Union Ministers, everyone has tweeted about it.
The TMC supremo on Saturday hit back at the BJP, accusing the central ruling party of distorting the picture. Saying that she felt bad, Banerjee accused the BJP of humiliating her by running one-sided information. "For the sake of people, I am ready to touch the PM's feet. Stop this political vendetta," the Bengal CM added.
She demanded that the Centre withdraw an order attaching the Bengal Chief Secretary to the Department of Personnel and Training. Banerjee, who recently won a handsome victory in Assembly polls, wrote that Bengal has to be allowed to carry out its business.
In the wake of the post-poll violence, the Centre sent central teams to check on the situation. Banerjee lashed out at the Centre for this.
