Nandamuri Balakrishna has issued an ultimatum on the Hindupur issue. As the MLA of Hindupur, he demanded that the YCP government should carve out a new district and make Hindupur its headquarters. Balayya is in favour of naming the new district after Puttaparthi Sai Baba.
Speaking to the media today, the 'Akhanda' actor made it clear that TDP councillors are ready to resign from their posts if the demand is not met. He added that he won't mind renouncing the post of MLA if the government doesn't accept the legitimate demand.
The 'Simha' actor found fault with Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy's style of functioning. He suggested that there should be more transparency in the way decisions are taken in the government. The TDP leader hinted that there should be no place for arbitrariness in decision-making. "The decisions have been taken in such a way that rift might widen between different districts in the State," he alleged.
It has to be seen if the TDP's demand will be considered by the Jagan government.
