KT Rama Rao, participating in a hartal of farmers in Hyderabad, on Tuesday, said that the ongoing agitation is just the beginning. Speaking to a TV channel, the IT Minister of Telangana firmly said that he will go to any lengths in his fight for the repeal of the three farm laws.
"We will spread this agitation in every nook and corner of Telangana. If the need be, we will go to Delhi. I am ready to be imprisoned," the TRS leader added.
Reiterating his stance made earlier in the day, KTR said that MSP is the basic right of farmers. "If corporates cartelize, an artificial shortage of foodgrains will be inevitable. This has to be fought against," he added.
On National Highway 44, a number of trucks were halted and prevented from moving. Reports of TRS activists forcing the bandh in Hyderabad suggest that the response to the Bharat Bandh was lukewarm.
