A brief gap from cricket did no damage to Sachin Tendulkar and the master batsman was back on the ground scoring runs at will. So was the case of Suresh Gopi, the tough cop of Malayalam films. After a long gap he was back on the screen donning the khaki in Bharathchandran IPS and straight away managed on a good show.

Now with bag full of offers, he is gearing up for a greater challenge - sustaining his name post Bharathchandran IPS.

'I was sure Bharatchandran, Chakochi and a couple of other characters that came to me early in my career will help me once again. I learnt that people have started forgetting me when I stayed away from the screen for over four years. Though I was never a good organizer of my projects, this time I thought I should do something. I met Renji Paniker and asked him to think about a character, who feels for the masses. Thus happened Bharathchandran IPS.'

'When shooting I was never bothered about the fate of the film. Only before two days of its release, I lost control over myself. Though I have made a comeback, I am all the more responsible now, for the biggest challenge before me is to sustain the name that Bharathchandran has given me'.

Wise thinking from this man, who is now acting in a host of movies donning his favorite khakhi uniform.
