Popular on-screen baddie Salim Ghouse, who was playing Karthi Sivakumar's villain in 'Saguni', has been replaced by Prakash Raj. The sudden decision was made due to some unavoidable reasons, sources say, adding: "Some important scenes are being re-shot again."

"The last leg of shooting is currently on in Hyderabad. Prakash Raj is setting the sets on fire with his performance. Debutant director Shankar Dayal is happy about the outcome," sources close to the unit further say.

Produced by KE Gnanavelraja under the Studio Green banner, 'Saguni' is being simultaneously made in Telugu as 'Shakuni'. Pranitha of 'Udhayan' fame is the ladylove of Karthi, while Santhanam plays the hero's close friend.

A huge star cast, including Radhika Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Roja and Mumtaj are there in 'Saguni', which is a political thriller. "I play a first of its kind role in the film and Shankar Dayal's script is the real strength," says Karthi.
