Re-make talks before release

'Madhurey', starring Vijay and Sonia Agarwal, is to be released in Tamil Nadu on August 27. Already, however, negotiations are on for a Telugu re-make of the film.
The tentative Telugu title for the film is 'Zilla Collector' The negotiations have been initiated at the behest of Telugu star Chiranjeevi, according to industry sources.
'Madhurey' has two songs, which Vijay thinks will prove as popular as the ones in 'Gilli'. Whether the Telugu re-make will have the same tunes remains to be seen.
