In a neatly organized without any confusion Sri Raghavendra Chitravani 17th annual awards from prestigious cinema news transmitting house headed by DG Venkatesh (Sudeendra Venkatesh), DS Sunil and DG Vasu was memorable like the previous years.

Three prominent personalities super star Upendra, director S Narayan on behalf of Dr Vishnuvardhana Sena Samithi head Veerakaputra Srinivas, stylish director Indrajith Lankesh announced awards.

Director and journalist Indrajith Lankesh in the name of her sister late Kavitha Lankesh on the spot given away Rs.10000 cheque to Sri Raghavendra Chitravani head Sudheendra Venkatesh as the first year award and announced that next year on the same function he would give award for senior PRO Nagendra and other PROs of Kannada cinema in the coming years.

The gathering at Chamundesware studio paid respect to three departed souls – Kashianth, Krishna Kumari and Edakallu Chandrasekhar. Kumari Sougandika granddaughter of DV Sudheendra and Shreya Swamy granddaughter of veteran director KV Jayaram Ganesha stuthi was a good start to the event.
