Her voice stands apart from all the singers in the industry. Is it her singing style? Her rendition? Her tone? Her entry into the singing field was not too successful but luck turned its charm with one specific song and that has led Rekha to the height where she is now. There is ofcourse no single reason to say why we love her songs so much. Time to list out the best tracks of this versatile singer!

‘Sasuraal ghenda phool’ brought her to limelight and definitely owes the credits to A.R.Rahman and the movie Delhi -6 which released in 2009. But one must agree that 2006 was a good year for this singer as ‘Namak ishq ka’ from Omkara made a clear hit amongst the audience and was accepted by all. Bipasha shaking her curves to this song made it even more popular, one can say. In other words, this song marked her entry into Bollywood.

Another hit for her in 2009 was ‘Raat ke Daai bajhe’ from the movie Kaminey and this song saw Priyanka Chopra making the moves.Rahman who loved her voice used her to sing ‘Raanjha Raanjha’ in the movie Raavan in the year 2010. The throw of her voice is to be appreciated ofcourse.

For all the dance lovers, who have been watching Madhuri’s moves in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, did you know Rekha is the voice behind the ‘Ghagra’ song? We all must agree that the singer and the actress’s voice was relatable. This hit ofcourse led to another and the outcome is ‘Atariya’ from Dedh Ishqiya.

Her distinctive singing style has fetched her various awards including the National Award for Best Playback Singer in 2011 for Ishqiya. We wish Rekha Bharadwaj goodluck for the year 2014.
