The sudden arrest of famous serial actress Mahalakshmi's husband and film producer Ravindran Chandrasekhar has created a sensation in the film industry. It was in connection with an alleged fraud to the tune of rupees sixteen crores.

Balaji Gaba from Chennai filed a complaint at the Chennai Police Commissioner's office a few days ago that Ravinder Chandrasekharan approached him for investment in a project to convert municipal solid waste into energy and the value of the project was 200 crores, Balaji was promised a big profit for his investment of Rs. 16 Crores.

However according to Balaji's complaint, Ravindran did not launch the power project and he approached the film producer to return his money back. The petition alleged that Ravindran not only refused to pay back the money but also threatened his with dire consequences.

When the police who registered the case and investigated it was revealed that Ravindran was involved in money fraud by preparing fake documents to convince Balaji about the project to convert solid waste into energy. Following this, the Central Crime Branch police arrested producer Ravinder Chandrasekhar yesterday. He was produced in court today and remanded to custody.

Ravindran Chandrasekharan who is also famous for airing his opinions on YouTube got married to serial actress Mahalakshmi last year. The couple had been regularly posting their pics on social media that garnered large number of views from their followers.
