Former CSK skipper and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja may be ruled out of the remainder of the tournament owing to an injury. The 33-year-old cricketer from Saurashtra injured his arm while fielding during the team’s game against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Shivam Dube replaced Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI.
The star all-rounder suffered an injury in the upper body while fielding against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) recently. Even though Jadeja continued fielding, he was consequently ruled out of the match against Delhi Capitals, which the defending champions won by a comfortable margin. The CSK camp assessed Jadeja‘s injury, but it has not gotten any better.
For the first time since standing down as captain last month, Jadeja did not play in an IPL match for CSK in 2022. The all-rounder has struggled for form in the current season, with only 116 runs and five wickets in ten matches. In a shocking turn of events, CSK's official Instagram handle has also unfollowed him.
Meanwhile, the defending champions CSK will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 12 (Thursday). The Yellow Army will next take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the same venue league before playing their final league game against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
