Ravi Varman, a renowned cinematographer known for his work in Tamil films like “Autograph,” “Anniyan,” “Dasavathaaram,” “Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu,” and “Ponniyin Selvan,” as well as Hindi films “Barfi,” “Sanju,” and “Phir Milenge,” has been inducted as a member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).
Currently, Ravi Varman is working as the cinematographer for the film “Love Insurance Company,” featuring Pradeep Ranganathan. Expressing his joy, Ravi Varman said, “Cinematographers worldwide dream of becoming a part of this esteemed association. Being among the prominent global cinematographers, including Oscar winners, is both an honor and a dream come true.”
Notably, Ravi Varman has become the second Indian to join the ASC, with the first being Santosh Sivan.
