A young kid of 5 years old was shouting punch dialogues and readied himself to save his two siblings stuck between the walls of fire. The couch was set ablaze and imitating Bollywood Legend Amitabh Bachchan, the boy jumped into the fire and saved them. Luckily, he didn’t sustain any injury and the furious mother thrashed him black and blue.

Cutting to the present, the big time actor jumps into the flames of fire saves the heroine and fights the baddies. Everything remains the same, his passion for cinema and his likeness to do heroic activities. But for one thing, he is now the favorite star of myriad fans and everyone loves him. He is Ravi Teja, the reigning star of Tollywood.

Born in Jaggampeta, East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh as the eldest son to his parents Bhupathiraju Rajgopal Raju and Rajyalaxmi Bhupathiraju, Ravi Teja was named as Bhupathiraju Ravishankar Raju back then. He was an ardent fan of Amitabh Bachchan as his residential was mostly in North India due to his father’s job.

The role he played in ‘Neninthe’ as an aspiring assistant director was his own demeanor during his first stint in movies and television serials. After working as an assistant director for long time and playing petty roles, he joined to apprentice under director Krishna Vamsi. Ravi Teja debuted to Telugu screens as a hero with ‘Neekosam’ directed by Sreenu Vaitla, who also debuted as a director with the film.

After bagging an award for his debut film, Ravi Teja’s big break came with ‘Itlu Sravani Subramanyam’ by director Puri Jagannath. Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Avunu Validharu Ishtapaddaru’ added to his cart of hits. The hat-trick success continued with his super hit ‘Idiot’ that made him a mass hero. ‘Vikramarkudu’ made by SS Rajamouli was Ravi’s biggest hit in his career earlier and VV Vinayak’s ‘Krishna’ (2008) broke the set records.

Puri Jagannath’s latest ‘Neninthe’ despite criticism had a lukewarm run in centers abroad and gave Ravi Teja an opportunity to play the role close to his real life experiences. He is at present working for ‘Kick’ which is expected to be a hit once again.

Indiaglitz wishes the favorite star of masses a very happy birthday.
