The ravishing "Sheher Ki Ladki" is on cloud nine... Raveena Tandon reportedly won the Best Actress award at the recently held the Indian Film Festival of Houston.
Raveena bagged the award for her performance in Sudipto Chattopadhyay's Shobhna's 7 Nights. Being first time to win such prestigious honour, the excited actress couldnt hold her happiness and shared the news in her micro-blogging site thus, "First recognition for performance in Shobhna's Seven Nights... Will always treasure...Thank you Houston, the jury.
My first award while knowing all of you on Twitter, thank you all for your love and 'duas' and blessings. I dedicate it to Twitter family."
Although she had won a National Award for Daman, Raveena considers it "was a one-off thing". Talking to sources she said that since she usually had played glamorous, commercial characters, she was not eligible for awards.
"Now when I've played the most glamorous role of my life I get the 'Best Actress' award. Ironical, isn't it?" quoted the actress in an interview.
Shobhna's 7 Nights also stars Rohit Roy and newcomer Amit Purohit.
