Acclaimed cinematographer R.Rathnavelu is currently busy with Superstar RajinikanthÂs ÂLingaaÂ. This is the second film for the cinematographer with the Superstar after the 2010 blockbuster sci-fi flick ÂEnthiranÂ.
Initial reports suggested that Superstar himself suggested the name of Rathnavelu to handle the lens for ÂLingaa since he was inspired by the latterÂs work for ÂEnthiranÂ.
Seems Rathnavelu will leave no stone unturned to prove that RajinikanthÂs choice is right. A couple of weeks back, the cinematographer had used the all new Phantom Flex 4k high speed camera to shoot an epic stunt sequence in the film. With that development ÂLingaa became the first Indian film to use the state of the art camera.
Rathnavelu recently proved that his innovations in ideas are not limited to the usage of equipments. He is taking all efforts to impress the unit as well as audience with the way the movie is being shot. He has climbed a 150 feet to film an action sequence for the K.S.Ravikumar directorial.
The cameraman has tweeted ÂHad to climb 150ft with harness to film an action sequence for LINGAA..Â
With this, one can be assured of ÂLingaa that has Rajinikanth playing dual roles of a person living in the preindependence and contemporary eras being a high class visual treat to the audience.
