The pre-release event of 'Dear Comrade' was held on Wednesday evening ahead of the film's release on July 26. Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Deverakonda made a mark.
"Since the time I became an actor, I have received love everywhere. People tell me that they love me a lot because I have made it to this stage without any background. I have made up my mind not to take it too seriously from now. It's because I have the background of my 'Rowdy' fans. This is the best background I can have. I came from nowhere but I have so many of you today. I feel grateful and proud," Vijay began his speech saying.
"Rashmika has played the film's most important character. She represents every girl. It's her character which you all will remember the most after watching the movie. Once she accepted the role, Rashmika started working really hard. She persisted despite having to face nasty comments. She had to go through a lot just because she accepted her second film with me," Vijay added.
"The producers (Mythri Movie Makers and Big Ben) supported us to make the film in four languages. They are passionate about cinema. When I first met music director Justin Prabhakaran, he came across as too young a guy. I had my doubts but he gave amazing music," he added.
Vijay revealed that Bharat Kamma had narrated the story of 'Dear Comrade' to him some three years back. "He has seen my successes over the years. He never insisted that I should work with him first before moving to other projects. Through this journey, some beloved people moved out of our lives and others entered our lives. Bharat will be a brilliant director to watch out for," the actor said.
