Actress Rashmika Mandanna hasn't even made her Bollywood debut yet she has already become a topic of interest for many. Before the release of her first film, she bagged her second one with Amitabh Bachchan. Her debut project 'Mission Majnu' co-starring Sidharth Malhotra is a higly anticipated film but this wasn't originally supposed to be her first project. Apparently, Rashmika was approached by makers of 'Jersey' for the role of Shahid Kapoor's wife. The actress denied the role for reasons unknown till now.

Rashmika is already an established actress down south so it was disheartening for fans when she turned down the film. However their happiness was revived when 'Mission Majnu' was announced. Recently Rashmika shared the reason for turning down 'Jersey'. Apparently she didn't believe that she could do justice to the role originally played by Shraddha Srinath in the Telugu film.

The project was about a talented but washed up cricketer who returns to the game in his his late 30s to fulfill the birthday wish of his child. Eventually the role was taken up by Mrunal Thakur.
