On a leisurely Sunday, the actress took to Instagram and unveiled a video announcing her portrayal of a 'girlfriend' in an upcoming project titled 'The Girlfriend.' Directed by Rahul Ravindran and produced by the esteemed Geetha Arts, owned by Allu Arvind, this film marks their 51st cinematic venture.

The video commences with an introduction to the project, accompanied by a heartfelt narrative about a man's affection for his girlfriend. 'I love her so much. She doesn't need friends, family, or anyone else. I am all she needs. I just want her to be with me 24/7. To have a girl I can call MINE is a different feeling,' he passionately expresses in the video as we catch glimpses of Rashmika submerged underwater. What initially appears to be a romantic tale takes an eerie turn, hinting at a story far more complex and mysterious than one of mere love.

Accompanying the video, Rashmika shared her thoughts, 'The world is full of great love stories , but there are those few love stories that haven't been heard or seen before , and 'The Girlfriend' is one such. .'

Meanwhile, Rashmika is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming Hindi film, 'Animal.' Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for 'Kabir Singh' and 'Arjun Reddy,' this film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role, with Rashmika playing his wife. The recently released first song, 'Hua Main,' offers a glimpse of the captivating chemistry between the two.
