Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film in Vignesh Shivan’s direction was recently announced. The untitled SK 17 marks the maiden collaboration of Vignesh Shivan with Sivakarthikeyan. Meanwhile, news regarding the female lead of the film is being speculated.

Geeta Govindam fame Rashmika Mandanna, who recently signed her debut Tamil film alongside Karthi, has been roped in to play Sivakarthikeyan’s pair in this flick, according to sources. An official announcement of the same will reportedly be made soon. About having Sivakarthikeyan on board his project, Vignesh Shivan stated, “Even before Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, I had narrated a different script to him. But at that time he was busy with Maan Karate and other films, and even I got busy with some other work. Now, I think everything is coming together.”

Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the movie will have its theatrical release in July 2020. While the rest of the cast and crew is yet to be finalized, it has been confirmed that Anirudh will be composing music for the movie.
