Rashmika Mandanna angers South Indian movie fans

Rashmika Mandanna has suggested that Bollywood makes true romantic songs, while Telugu, Tamil and Kannada cinema make masala, item songs.
Bollywood's romantic songs were a thing. In South, masala songs, item songs and dance numbers were made, the star heroine said on Wednesday while talking about her liking for Hindi songs as a child and a teen. The video clip is going viral.
The 'Pushpa' actress is now being seen as a thankless person by many South Indian fans. It's the Kannada film 'Kirik Party' and the Telugu films like 'Bheeshma' that gave her career a fillip. Just because she is doing movies in Bollywood these days, she thought of insulting South Indian cinema, a Netizen wrote.
Another Netizen said that Taapsee Pannu, too, behaved in a similar way in the past. After becoming famous in Hindi, she equated South Indian film songs with navel-gazing and all. She hit out at the sensibilities of K Raghavendra Rao, her first director, in a disrespectful way. She later apologized for the same. Will Rashmika, too, apologize? a Facebook user asked.
