Sandalwood celebrity Rakshit Shetty is known in the Telugu States as Rashmika Mandanna's ex-boyfriend.  The two were supposed to get married last year.  But things didn't work out for them.  Their engagement was called off.

Rakshit is promoting his upcoming movie 'Athade Srimannarayana' (January 1st release).  During one of the promotional interviews, he was asked about his ex-girlfriend.  Giving a gentlemanly answer, he said that the 'Geetha Govindam' and 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actress dreams big.  He also said that he cherishes the experience of knowing her in the past from close quarters.  The actor takes things in his stride and the break-up with Rashmika is no different.  

Last year, months after the break-up between the two became official, this is what Rakshit said: "You all have formed opinions about Rashmika. I don’t blame any of you because that’s how it is projected. Every one of us believes what we see and what is said. But it need not be true. Most of the time we come to a conclusion without even thinking from another perspective. I have known Rashmika for more than two years and I have known her better than any of you. There are many factors which are acting here. Please stop judging her. Please let her be in peace."
