While her film career might not have gone according to plan, popular small screen face Rashmi Gautam continues to attract offers. We hear the actress is cast opposite Nandu in a new film, which marks the directorial debut of a short filmmaker Viraat. This is her second successive outing with Nandu after the recent box-office turkey Shivaranjini. A realistic romantic comedy, the still untitled film’s shoot is over pending a week’s portions. Set in coastal AP, it has been shot completely in Atchutapuram and Jagannadhapuram.
In the film, Nandu plays a villager who wants someone to make a film on his life. And when he realizes that he has lead a pretty mediocre life for someone even to contemplate making a film on him in the first place, he decides to make it more interesting. Rashmi Gautam will be seen as a village belle who is in love with Nandu’s part. The role is a complete departure from the image she cuts across, we hear.
The film features a battery of fresh faces in supporting roles, while music is being scored by Prasanth Vihari of Antariksham and Dorasaani fame.
