Communal harmony is very important for peace to prevail in a country. And India being a secular nation, this concept becomes highly important. In an endearing gesture, a Muslim businessman has decided to donate his land and money towards the construction of 51 temples.
The man is Rashid Naseem, Chairman of the Shine Group. The temples will be constructed all over Uttar Pradesh and Lucknow. Rashid has stated that he’s doing this in order to ‘preserve the secular beliefs in the society’.
“Being a Muslim doesn’t stop me from working towards the betterment of other religions. I think this is a step towards communal harmony and an attempt to convey the message of brotherhood and peace to the society,” he said.
Rashid Naseem has businesses in real estate, water purifiers, travel and tourism as well. Rashid who considers Narendra Modi to be his inspiration travels around 50,000 kms every month to keep an eye on his businesses. “It’s always good to travel for business, it’s never a boring day for me,” he says.
