SS Thaman is all of 35. And he is now in his silver jubilee year in the film industry. It all started with the talented musician starting out as an apprentice for the 1993 movie 'Bhairava Dweepam'.

'Kick', released in 2009, was his first Telugu movie as a music director. Since then, Thaman has not had to look back. He has got to work on the films of big stars, ranging from Mahesh Babu to NTR, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Nagarjuna, and Ravi Teja in Telugu.

He has worked on 100 films as a music director. He has given 7000 stage shows with about 111 troupes over the years. About 900 films are to his credit as a music programmer.

Thaman comes with a unique sense of music and understanding of the craft of cinema. As Trivikram Srinivas recently said, he has got a lot of depth. Also, Thaman's RR for different movies is hugely popular with movie-goers. He takes certain scenes to a new level with his stylish, new-age music.
