Indian-origin Australian actress Chandrika Ravi, known for her captivating performances in films like 'Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu' and 'Veera Simha Reddy', has taken her career to new heights by becoming the first Indian actress to host a radio talk show in the United States. The Chandrika Ravi Show, set to air on iHeart Radio, one of the largest networks in the US, marks a significant milestone in her journey .
Chandrika's inspiring story of self-discovery and perseverance caught the attention of Sammy Chand, founder of Rukus Avenue Radio, who approached her with an offer to host the show. The actress, who has been working on her own talk show concept for years, was thrilled to have the opportunity to share her life experiences with a global audience. "I've been working on my own talk show for a couple of years, and I finally have the chance to bring it to life," Chandrika exclaimed.
As co-producer of the show, Chandrika is deeply involved in every aspect of its production, including designing the promotional content. "Most of the promotions released so far have been edited and produced by me," she revealed. The show's format allows Chandrika to showcase her personality, and she believes that it will give her audience a glimpse into her real self. "It's been a great experience, a bit stressful, but rewarding. Being 'behind the camera' has been a different experience from my years of performing. People can finally see the real me."
Before venturing into films, Chandrika had already gained experience in hosting live shows on radio and television. Her passion for public speaking has been a driving force in her career. With this new achievement, she becomes the first Indian woman to host a radio show in the US, a feat she hopes will pave the way for others to follow. "I may be the first, but I won't be the last," she smiled.
The Chandrika Ravi Show airs every Thursday at 7:30 AM India time on iHeart Radio and Rukus Avenue Radio. The full episode is also available on YouTube every Friday, accessible to international audiences. This new platform has given Chandrika a voice to inspire and connect with her fans worldwide.
