Plagiarism is nothing new these days. It has been kept on repeating in various fields like films, music, books and many more. Recently the American and Grammy award-winning rapper T-Pain had surprised his fans with his latest single ”That’s Yo Money” but actually he was unaware that he had not only surprised his fans with his song but also surprised many whoever have listened to the famous “Tum Hi Ho” track from ‘Aashiqui 2’.

Yes, so the rapper’s newest single had grabbed the attention of the filmmaker Mohit Suri first and then the composer of the film, Mithoon too. A flute melody used in T-Pain’s song is very similar to the iconic “Tum Hi Ho” tune. Mohit tweeted, "Dunno why but this seems familiar #aashiqui2 #tumhiho @TPAIN It’s a melody from Mithun’s song buddy”.

The composer Mithoon too tweeted, “Sir, the melody that you have used in your new song is my original work for a previously released Hindi film..The Label is looking into this. #tumhiho #Aashiqui2”

Soon after the after copyright infringement, the rapper pulled down his music video and tweeted, “Woke up to getting dragged by brown twitter. Sooooo yea. I definitely didn’t produce this song. Had no idea that was a sample and have never heard the music before I got the beat from the producer. Easy thing to work out. The labels will be in contact. Thanx”

Guess what happened next! He received a lot of flak for using “Brown Twitter”. By this time, director Mohit who got really pissed off with this replied, “Brown Twitter !! Sir is that what your response is .?? is this a apology or foolish ignorance .if you hadn’t been so stuck up in your world and realised that this song has crossed over a billion streaming’s .maybe you would understand #Shameless”.
