The gamble has paid off for Shahrukh, the King Khan of Bollywood.The movie 'Ra.One' is said to have garnered around 137 crores from its five day run with around four thousand prints worldwide. The movie made a 96 crore from its different language prints from Indian territory. As usual the overseas collections are always best for Shahrukh films, which now made around 32 crores from all around the world.'Ra.One' has also emerged as the biggest Hindi grosser from the southern markers also. The movie made around 2 crores from kerala territory which is also a record, while Tamil and Telugu versions also commanded good returns in the initial weekend.
As per the records of Eros, the distributors of the movie, 'Ra.One' has already broken the first day records of any of the previous Dilwali releases. The second day collections of 'Ra.one' in India, that is 25 crores INR, is the highest collection ever for any movie in a single day. It has also emerged as the best collected flick for a weekend surpassing the record set by 'Bodyguard' by a few crores.'Ra. one' has also touched the highest individual collection in many circuits including Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab and Rajastan.
Made in a budget of 175 crores, 'Ra.One' now seems to bring back the capital in a few more days, as the film don't have any competition in the Bollywood circuits till the 11th of November. The Eid holidays that will come up in a another five days will also help the movie to collect huge and go for a continuous good collections for at least 12 days from its release. Meanwhile, Shahrukh who had been relentlessly promoting the movie for more than a month, seems satisfied with the outcome. A much pleased star was seen in the twitter saying thanks to all his well wishers and the film lovers.
Eros is also planning to release Ra.One to non-traditional markets like South Korea, Hong Kong, Russia, Brazil, and Italy in the coming weeks
