The film is almost complete, but the director wants something more to make it ready for release. He actually is adamant on one thing, and that is - Snow!
Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane is said to be quite keen on having a real snow to shoot the very few scenes that is remaining of his film Lootera, that stars Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.
The film is nearing to its completion and most of it was shot in Kashmir, using artificial snow machine. But now Motwane wants to add on some real elements of snow to his film before it hits the screen.
According to some sources close to the project feel that snow is very essential part of a romantic movie which is set against such backdrop.
Hence the production has now postponed the release date of Lootera to catch the snow season in Kashmir in December-January so that they can shoot in real snow.
"The entire team thinks it would be inappropriate to make a film about a love story in a snow-scape without real snow," stated the source.
Talks are that the lead cast have agreed to wait and shoot the remaining portions in snow.
For the records, Lootera is loosely based on the short story The Last leaf by the noted American author O. Henry.
