Known for being the live wire of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh is a versatile actor. He can silly and campy roles just as well as he can play strong and menacing roles. His portrayal of Khilji in 'Padmavat' is probably the highlight of his career. As the film completed three years of its theatrical release, Ranveer shared a montage of behind the scenes footage.

He captioned the post as, "My tryst with the dark side. An unforgettable experience. Thank you Sanjay Sir for making me a part of this spectacular vision. #Khilji." Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, 'Padmavat' also had Ranveer's wife Deepika Padukone in the titular role. It was revealed that during the preparation of his role as a tyrant, Ranveer went so dark a place that he needed therapy to get completely out of the character.
