There is no denying that it takes tremendous passion and skill to succeed as an actor in Bollywood. However, since it is a showbiz, people tend to judge an artist by their physical appearance rather than their skills and capabilities. In a recent media interaction, actor Ranveer Singh talked about how he was criticised for his looks during the initial phase of his career.

The actor also recalled being mocked by a renowned filmmaker who told him that he doesn't look as good as Hrithik Roshan. Ranveer told Navbharat Times, "Ahead of the release of my first film, I went to the theatre to watch some other movie. My poster was up there and two guys were discussing the poster. 'Who is he, he does not look like a hero,' they said. I heard it."

The actor further added, "Not only this, even filmmaker Aditya Chopra told me in my second meeting, 'You are no Hrithik Roshan so you should act'. I replied to him 'yes sir. I will try my best.”

As of now, Ranveer is gearing up for the release of his upcoming social comedy 'Jayeshbhai Jordar'.
