Ranveer Singh's granny who was as important to him as oxygen and water, passed away last night. According to some reports, his grandmother was unwell since a long time and her cause of death is still unknown. Rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone had visited her in the hospital too in Bandra.

The Padmaavat actor was scheduled to attend a tourism press conference today with regards to him being appointed as the brand ambassador of Switzerland tourism. He had cancelled all the events to be there with his family for the painful loss.

The actor will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy' and Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' .
