Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's ’83', which is based on the 1983 Cricket World Cup, has completed its production works in Mumbai. A glimpse of the 'Gully Boy' actor's iconic Natraj shot pose has been unveiled by the makers to treat all cricket lovers out there.

The shot became iconic during the 1980s after Kapil Dev played it at the Tunbridge Wells stadium in the Cup's semi-finals. The legendary criketer scored 175 runs against Zimbabwe in that unforgettable match.

The match was neither broadcasted nor recorded by any channels at that time, the makers say.

In playing Dev, the 'Padmaavat' actor had to undergo rigorous training. The film sees Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Singh Sandhu, etc.

Deepika Padukone has a cameo as Kapil's wife.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the film will hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
