Yeah, the current B-town's heartthrob will reprise the romance magic which was earlier done by the late yesteryear heartthrob Dev Anand.
Buzz is that in his forthcoming movie 'Lootera', Ranveer Singh will do some song sequences which in fact will be done in old fashion using classic hit numbers of Dev Sahab. Sources said that the film will feature Ranveer singing romance with co-star Sonakshi Sinha in a la Dev Anand style. For this the makers will include evergreen songs namely "Khoya khoya chand", "Tere mere sapne" and "Yeh dil na hota bechara" in their original formats.
Talks are that producer Madhu Mantena will soon try to get the rights of Dev Sahab's classic numbers while director Vikramaditya Motwane has planned to shoot the songs in black-and-white shades.
On the other hand, Ranveer for his part is said to be doing study on Dev Anand, his songs, the cinema during 1950s - the era on which 'Lootera' is based on. Incidentally the film is set in Kolkata; however, the actor is not playing a Bengali character. According to Ranveer's statement to sources, 'Lootera' is the only film that he has signed after 'Ladies Vs Ricky Behl'.
