These days, actress Deepika Padukone is busy promoting her upcoming film 'Gehraiyaan' which is just a week away from its release. Few days back, Deepika revealed how her husband Ranveer Singh reacted to the trailer of the film and recently, during a promotional chat with The Indian Express, the actress shared what Ranveer thought about the film itself.

Upon hearing that 'Gehraiyaan' looks like the most intense film of her career, Deepika retorted, "Ranveer was saying this to me yesterday right after he watched the film." She went on to say how her character Alisha shares similarities with with her characters from 'Piku' and 'Tamasha'.

Extrapolating her point further, Deepika said, "There are shades of a Piku performance or a Tamasha performance because they are similar in the way the characters have been written — real and relatable. But honestly, that is the only common thread in these characters that they are as close to reality as possible."

The actress concluded by saying, "Having said that, this is probably the most complex character I have ever played, which makes this role different and extremely challenging than whatever I have done."

'Gehraiyaan' is going to release on 11th of February exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
