These days, actor Ranveer Singh is busy raking praises for his incredible performance in Kabir Khan's recently released sports drama '83'. Ranveer essayed the role of Kapil Dev in this film based on India's 1983 World Cup victory and he really embodied the former captain's mannerisms as well as his playing style down to every small detail.

Apparently, Ranveer's performance was so well that he even got few words of appreciation from Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar himself. Referencing a scene which depicted 10 year old Sachin in the movie, Tendulkar tweeted, "A brilliant ‘all-round’ display by @RanveerOfficial in 83. Really soaked in all the @kapildev paaji traits to make us reminisce the iconic moments of our first-ever World Cup victory. I know the win really inspired the little boy.”

Ranveer quickly responded by saying, "And that little boy went on to inspire generations! Thank you Master! This means everything!”
