Ranveer Singh - BBB is a funny light hearted film

Ranveer Singh plays the role of Delhi boy Bittoo Sharma in his debut outing 'Band Baaja Baaraat'. However, in real life since he belongs to Mumbai, he had a whale of a time shooting for this Yash Raj film in Delhi, more so because the film is abound with celebrations and fun moments.
The film doesn't get heavy on audience at all, says Ranveer who pretty much sends out similar vibes of exuberance just as his character in the film, There are a few emotional moments but then they are just in the right dose without going overboard. Otherwise the film stays on to be funny and light hearted.
Talking about the essence of this Maneesh Sharma directed film, Ranveer adds, BBB is a very character driven film. It is about the relationship between these two youngsters, Anushka Sharma (who plays Shruti Kakkar) and myself who get into this wedding planning business in Delhi. Despite a plot based setting, the film doesn't turn monotonous or unilateral by any means. There is a wide variety of emotions out there and as audience, you feel for them too. However, rest assured you would have a smile on your face while watching the film.
'Band Baaja Baaraat' releases all over on 10th December.
