Exclusive: How different is Rajinikanth in 'Kabali'
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
Right from the word go one thing is quite clear about 'Kabali'. We are going to experience a new Rajinikanth in the film. The fact was evident from the star's selection of the director and the first look poster that featured Rajini in an white hair clad aged getup matching his real life persona.
But this is just a tip of iceberg of the 'altogether different Superstar' the audience are going to experience in the film. There is a lot more pertaining to this aspect, within the film than what have been revealed in the promotional materials so far.
That's what the film's director Pa.Ranjith reveals here:
"While writing the script, though I was concerned about doing justice to Rajini sir's confidence in me, I made sure that I write the character 'Kabali' keeping Rajini sir's image aside and make him fit into the character on the lines of how it has been written.
I have changed many things that one would normally associate with a Rajini film. Punch dialogues have been avoided. There won't be any dialogues advising women on how they should behave. He won't utter any dialogue, pointing his finger upwards, referring to the God.
Sir generally walks fast. But I wanted him to walk slow with the aged getup. Even in the scenes where I felt he has walked faster than required I have purposefully reduced the speed. But in the young getup he will walk in his usual style.
As for as acting is concerned, he has given a very realistic, simple and powerful portrayal. People will love him in this role. Audience can easily connect with the character through Rajini sir in this film, There is a particular small portion in the film that involves a emotional conversation with his daughter. He has done it brilliantly. This will be the special treat fans can look forward from Rajini sir in this film. After a long time he has done such a realistic acting and has moved away from cinematic acting."
We have to wait for a few more days to watch all these on screen. Come fast July 22!!!
