Rajini’s ‘Kaala’ has made an impact. A different kind of Superstar film which had its core strength at content whcih was socially relevant. The film has been directed by Pa Ranjith and revolves around the land struggle by the people of Dharavi in Mumbai.

Since the release of the movie,the makers have been receiving a lot of appreciation from all corners including film personalities as well.The latest to express the same is Jignesh Mevani, popular grass roots Dalit activist and lawyer who contested the Gujarat state elections as an independant candidate and won it amidst the opposing BJP.
