A couple of days back there were wide speculations that the veteran actor Prakash Raj has been approached to play an important role in director Ranjith`s film with Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead.

Now the Attakathi` and Madras` director has confirmed that Prakash Raj has been signed to play a role in the mega budget project that will be produced by Kalaipuli S.Thanu. He however preferred to maintain suspense over the character played by the National award winning actor.

Prakash Raj s already acting with Kamal Haasan in the thriller flick Thoongavanam` whose shoot is briskly progressing. Now the confirmation from Ranjith makes clear that the actor is simultaneously working with two doyens of Tamil film industry at the same time.

This will be the second film for Prakash Raj with Rajini after the 1999 blockbuster flick Padaiyappa`.
