Actress Rani Mukherjee has added yet another feather to her glorious cap. The Bengali actress who's known for her sincere performances has been conferred with the National Award for her performance in the film 'Mardaani'. This comes in the wake of her contribution towards women's safety safety and child trafficking in the film.

As per reports, the actress was chosen by a jury of experts who decided to confer her at an event celebrating Women's Day for the Best Representation of the Cause of Safety, Security and Protection of Women and Girl Child'.
