After donning the role of a journalist in 'No One Killed Jessica', Bengali beauty Rani Mukherjee will be next seen as a Marathi mulgi in ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's production.

Titled 'Aiyaa', the film will be the directorial debut of Sachin Kundalkar, the National Award winning Marathi film director.

Besides, it also marks the entry of Malayalam star Prithviraj in Bollywood. Playing the lead role, Prithviraj will feature as a south Indian boy. Talks are that the film will be on the lines of 'Ek Duje Ke liye' which presents a North-South romance.

Feeling excited over the movie, Rani shared that it's a quirky love story. "It's a very interesting film and I am looking forward to it," remarked the husky voiced actress.

Currently Rani is working on Reema Kagti's tentatively titled project 'Dhuan' which stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

'Aiyaa' is scripted by Anurag Kashyap, who will be producing the movie along with Viacom 18.
