Bollywood’s most versatile and bubbly Rani Mukherji is celebrating her 40th birthday today. With about 22 years of experience in the film industry, her expertise as an able actress is unparalled. Rani, on this special ocassion has shared a sweet message not lacking in some serious content either.

Stating her happiness in getting to play roles in quality content, Rani expressed her gratitude to the filmmakers that she has worked with. The actress’s message revolved majorly around the hardships that women in the industry face.
 
Noting gender stereotypes in the industry, Rani also said ‘For a woman, the disparity with a man is huge and glaring in the industry. We are judged for our looks, our dancing skills, our height, our voice, our acting , how we carry ourselves everytime we step out of the house- we have tobe the best and yet we are thought of as dispensible.’

However, she ended on a highly positive note stating that she will be back soon to entertain, to push the envelope again. No doubt that the actress's message comes as inspiring to all the women out there. Rani Mukherji is currently looking forward to her most awaited release ‘Hichki’ which is directed by Siddharth Malhotra and slated to hit the screens on 23 March.
