Rangasthalam: The speeches you shouldnt miss!

The team 'Rangasthalam' held a 'Thank You' meet on Monday.  The film's cast and crew members attended it.  Dil Raju too graced the occasion.  The film has grossed Rs. 100 Cr as of the end of Sunday.

Dil Raju said, "The collections are no less terrific on Monday.  This is my most favourite Sukumar movie since 'Arya'.  'Dhruva' proved that a star hero's experiment will always fetch appreciation and revenue.   'Rangasthalam' proved it yet again.  I know Sukumar had everyone toiling for one year in making this movie.  Mythri Movie Makers has scored 3 blockbusters in a row.  The Nizam share has touched Rs. 10 Cr in three days.   'Rangasthalam' is going to cross 'Magadheera'."

Shanti, the film's costume designer, said, "This film is going to be a lifetime memory for me.  Sukumar sir's detailing and my research went hand in hand.  I am glad my work has spoken for itself."

Art Director Ramakrishna and his assistant, Monika, expressed their happiness.  Editor Naveen Nooli thanked the unit for the opportunity.

Chandrabose said, "The lyrics are as pure as the purity of Chitti Babu's innocence, stubbornness and courage.  This film says that life is a mixture of both happiness and sadness. I am glad I got the opportunity to sing a song for this movie.  It will be out tomorrow at 10 AM."

Cinematographer Rathnavelu said, "It's not always that critical appreciation and box office collections go hand in hand.  It happened with 'Sethu' (Tamil).  I would call Ram Charan a 'One Take' hero.  He was magical in the very first take itself.  For actors like Suriya and Vikram, Kamal Haasan sir is an inspiration.  In Telugu, Chiranjeevi garu is an inspiration.  But Charan's performance in 'Rangasthalam' is very natural."

Anasuya said, "I pestered Sukumar sir with too many questions during the shoot.  Since Charan is my favourite hero, I didn't want to address him as 'Alludu' in the movie.  But I had to.  I didn't want to be called Rangamattha in the movie.  But after its release, it's sounding great.  Landing this project itself was an achievement for me.  And everything else is a bonus.  If I could emote so confidently, it's because of the cinematographer, too.  I didn't use glycerine for the emotional scenes.  I cried naturally.  The space that Ram Charan gave me also made it possible.  He is very cute in the songs, he made us cry in the emotional scenes, so on and so forth.  Performance-wise, Charan reminded me of Chiranjeevi garu in 'Swayam Krushi', 'Rudra Veena' and the like.  But in terms of collections, 'Rangasthalam' is like 'Khaidi'."

Jagapathi Babu said, "Cherry is so cute in the movie.  During the making of the movie, I felt that my character deserves to be killed for its sins.  Sukumar garu has said that I am sexy in the movie.  But I have an odd tummy, after all, in it!  'Naa time ala undhi!'  Doing 'Legend' was a second innings for me.  And Rangasthalam'   is one more inning.  I always knew that I am capable of doing massy roles.  I finally am getting to do them."

Producer Naveen said, "A hero gets to be wonderful in a movie for 30 minutes, 1 hour and the like.  But in 'Rangasthalam', Charan is wonderful for the entire stretch of 3 hours.  Many were saying that working with Sukumar comes with a caveat.  But, after the first schedule, we were very comfortable and even committed that we will produce another movie with him.  Devi Sri Prasad garu is one of the reasons why Mythri Movie Makers has produced three blockbusters in a row. After watching Jagapathi Babu garu's performance, I called him up and used foul language out of sheer joy to praise him.  Aadhi Pinisetty turned out to be Charan's perfect brother.

'Rangasthalam' is going to be the next big Telugu film after the 'Baahubali' movies in terms of gross.  It will even cross Chiranjeevi garu's 'Khaidi No. 150'.  Our distributors are happy that the collections are double than what they had expected.  We were aiming to hit Overseas in a big way.  Our film has already got USD 2.5 million there.  It will easily cross USD 3.5 million."

Sukumar said, "This project fell into place because Ranga, a common friend of me and Charan, brought us together.  Ranga even suggested that our combo will be great.  Maybe that's why I chose the title 'Rangasthalam'.  When 'Nannaku Prematho' released, many called me up and told me Jagapathi Babu garu is very sexy.  In 'Rangasthalam', he is seen in a dhoti and even now they are saying he is very sexy.  Watching him in a scene, I myself had goosebumps.

I want to work with him on every film that I will make.  'Yentha Sakkagunnave' song deserves global recognition.  It's great that Chandrabose garu wrote it in 20 minutes flat.  Naveen Nooli understands all the crafts, be it graphics, mixing, cinematography or anything.  As for Rathnavleu, he is a philosopher among the cinematographers.  He knows which mood is required by a scene and uses appropriate lighting for that.  Devi Sri Prasad is like my 'Aathma'.  Charan has a great ear for music.

He learned it for 8 years.  In fact, he listens to soundtracks from the world over.  Anasuya was chosen after auditioning 10 other actresses.  I felt she alone has the appropriate visage.  Our producers are like 'Bola Shankaralu'.  They feel very happy even when a shot comes out well.  I must apologize to Charan because I asked him to wear the hearing aid on the sets even though I was not confident myself about whether the fans would accept it.  He used the aid, as he trusted me.  He would refuse to wear pants for some scenes, as he would say he was comfortable in the lungi."

Ram Charan said, "Looking at the result, I think we have succeeded in our efforts.  When Sukumar told me the story, I didn't think about whether the film will impress my fans.  I first liked the story and felt that fans and my parents will be proud of the film.  The distributors are very happy.  They should continue to make monies on all summer releases so that they have enough monies to invest in upcoming movies."
