Rangaraj Pandey has confirmed that he is indeed making his acting debut in 'Thala 59' in an interview to the popular Tamil weekly Kumudam. It is common knowledge that Ajith is playing the role of an aging lawyer in this remake of the Bollywood hit 'Pink' directed by H. Vinod. It is reported that Pandey will be playing the public prosecutor who opposes Ajith's character. Nazriya Nazim, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Adhik Ravichandran are the others in the cast while Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for this mega Boney Kapoor production.

Rangaraj Pandey recently shocked his followers by suddenly resigning as Chief Editor of Thanthi Tv and he had revealed in a video that he is taking a risk in his life for the third after his leaving Dinamalar earlier and his marriage. Looks like the risk he was talking about is locking horns with none other than Thala Ajith in 'Thala 59' aka 'AK 59'.
