Megastar Chiranjeevi has termed the death of senior Telugu actor Ranganath as a huge loss to Telugu film industry. The actor turned politician paid his last respects to the departed actor at Film Chamber earlier today. A pall of gloom descended in the industry with the actor's suicide. Chiranjeevi remembered his friendship with Ranganath and stated that they both share wonderful rapport.

"He essayed the lead role in Love in Singapore and I acted as the second lead. I have known him for decades ever since I forayed into Tollywood. We acted in some memorable films. I can't believe that he is no more. Telugu film industry lost a good actor. I am totally shocked," said an emotional Chiranjeevi. The funeral procession of Ranganath has reached Bansilal crematorium, Secunderabad for last rites.
