The film opens with a monologue by Megastar Chiranjeevi (voiceover). “When Krishna Vamsi came to me with the request, I felt someone else might be suitable to lend his voice. The director then told me I am an actor who will bring my whole persona to the film, I was convinced. ‘Rangamarthanda’ is about an actor’s loneliness.
