'Rangam-2', directed by Ravi K Chandran, stars Jiiva in the lead role. A dubbed version of the 2014 Tamil action film 'Yaan', the film's trailer has been released on the hands of Vijay Antony. Thulasi Nair, younger daughter of yesteryear actress Radha and sister of Karthika, is the female lead.

Speaking at the event, Vijay Antony said, "Jiiva is a good friend of mine. He is at the forefront of choosing distinct, novel subjects. I wish that this film will be as big a hit as his previous movies."

Malkapuram Sivakumar said, "I am happy that my friend AS Blaji is turning a producer with 'Rangam 2'. I wish that this film turns out to be a big hit."

The film is produced by AS Balaji, who says, "'Rangam' was a milestone movie in Jiiva's career. This is again an exciting subject. The first poster was released recently by Kalyan Krishna, the director of 'Soggade Chinni Nayana'. I am happy to see that the whole industry is interested in this film."

Nasser, Jayaprakash and Urmila are playing key roles. Music-directed by Harris Jayaraj, the film has editing by A Sreekar Prasad and cinematography by Manush Nandan.
