Great working with Aamir, says Siddharth
Although he plays a second lead in RDB to Aamir Khan, young actor Siddharth is already a superstar in Telugu films, having notched up the biggest Telugu hit of last year.
Speaking briefly to Indiaglitz in Mumbai at the premiere of Rang De Basanti, Siddharth said, of working with Aamir in RDB, "It was a very fine experience. I've always admired his work. I've been working with a couple of very senior actors in the early stages of my career, and this too has been quite an exciting experience. And all credit to Aamir for a film like this being made. As you can see, it is a complete ensemble film, and every actor gets his due, and very few actors today are secure enough to let this happen in films in which they have a lead role."
Asked what he is looking forward to next, Siddharth said, "Right now, I'm looking forward to returning to Hyderabad to shoot for my next film! And as for Rang De Basanti, I'm looking forward to the film being accepted; I'm looking forward to Rakeysh Mehra and other film makers taking up such films in future because as actors, that's as much as you can hope!"
What's his next film? Siddharth says, "If you watch Telugu films, you'll see my next film releasing in May, and another's released on the 14th of Jan as well, which is doing well so far! And hey, Indiaglitz has been kind "they've always given me the best reviews!" Well, Siddharth, admitted we like you as much as your fans, but you get a good review only if you deserve one! Here's wishing him great good luck with RDB and his future films too."
No funda in releasing RDB on 26th Jan, says Prasoon Joshi
Ad world creative genius and now a top lyricist too, Prasoon Joshi, is relieved that Rang De Basanti is finally out. "We've all been waiting for it throughout it was getting delayed, and finally it's released. It's a great feeling!"
And what are his hopes for RDB? Says the ad whiz, "See, after you've done your work, a film or any creative product has its own life. It breathes on its own. You've done what you could do. The rest is up to the people who will watch it. So the film has its own life, and it will have a communication with people on its own."
What's the funda of releasing it on the 26th of Jan? "It's a coincidence," says Joshi, "there's no funda in it."
You've got to watch this film. All I can tell you right now is that it's a youth film, it's a film which respects the youth of this country. It will make you think, and you will definitely enjoy it!"
